Metrocare Harbor of Hope

Metrocare Services is the largest provider of mental health care and developmental disability services in North Texas. Harbor of Hope is a 57,000 SF permanent supportive housing community that will serve 41 single-parent families in the Dallas area.

Harbor of Hope is strategically located next to Metrocare’s Elam Family Mental Health Clinic in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas. The community has been intentionally designed to uplift residents through trauma-informed design principles, integrating environmental sustainability, and providing holistic wraparound services, and is designed to meet National Green Building Standard (NGBS).

Each of the two-and-three-bedroom residences securely enter through a generous 7,000 SF commons, including spaces for social connection for both adults and kids, fitness, computer lab, counseling and education, and community laundry facility. Once inside the community, each residence is designed with a view overlooking a lush 6,000 SF courtyard, which has been designed and scaled to encourage small pockets of interaction through play and solitude.
